This is a map of our solar system’s Barycenter; the point which the earth, all the other planets, and the sun rotate around. It turns out the Earth does NOT revolve around the sun.
So, the running list of things my elementary teachers were either wrong about, or just plain lied to me about, now consists of:
- Christopher Columbus discovered America
- Pluto is the ninth planet
- I before E except after C (there are 21 times as many words that break that damn rule than conform to it!)
- The Brontosaurus was a plant eating dinosaur
- The earth revolves around the sun
I think I’m going to go eat a bottle of Elmer’s Glue now as, contrary to what my primary school teachers told me, it probably is actually quite delicious and tastes like creme brulee or something.
